Program/Curriculum/Course Creation as Graphic Design Program Coordinator:

BFA Specialization in Graphic Design: I designed, created, and continually develop this program. I created 90% of the classes in the major, including every class with the GRA prefix at the university as well as DIG3309C Digital 2D Animation, PGY2801C Digital Imaging, and ARH3724 History of Graphic Design. See list of all of the courses I designed here… Most recently I designed an online path to graduation in response to the common segment of majors that need to move around because of military family relocation.

Minor in Graphic Design: I created this program to answer the need from Communications and Marketing majors that require design experience as part of their graduating skill sets. This program has a fully online pathway to completion.

TAG Team: Experiential Learning and Professional Development Program in Exhibition Graphics: Three-class program I developed in collaboration with Amy Bowman-McElhone in her positions as Director of TAG The Art Gallery at UWF and then Director of the Pensacola Museum of Art; Nick Croghan in his positions as Director of TAG The Art Gallery at UWF and the Director of the Pensacola Museum of Art; Jerre Brisky, Director of the UWF Center of Fine and Performing Arts; and Richard Rodriguez, Exhibition Designer for the UWF Historic Trust. Development of this program has been aided by three Quality Enhancement Program grants I have received for added equipment to assist the participating museums and galleries in producing and printing posters and vinyl title walls. Kappa Kappa Banana is a performed Yōkai induction ceremony into the Fraternal Order of Art Historical References as a form of pedagogy (the communal singing of hazing-hymns as a participatory lecture on the work of Mike Kelley, specifically his collaborations with Bruce Yonemoto and Paul McCarthy)

CUBED Luminous,” Digital Arts Festival as part of the Pensacola Foo Foo Fest Arts Festival: The festival had three components: “JumbleTron,” “PolyTron,” and “EduTron.” For each component I collaborated with a different organization to curate a large group of videos, each representing a different demographics in the video arts.

JumbleTron” was a collaboration with ACRE TV, Artist Run TeleVision featuring contemporary video artists from across the country. The online component of this part of the exhibition ran on ACRE TV from November 1 – December 31, 2018. “JumbleTron” was also part of the Foo Foo Fest’s Cubed Luminous Festival in Pensacola on November 8th & 9th with live performance art from Jen Clay and Jan & Dave, videos on the 18’x12’x12′ LCD prism ‘megacube,’ and site specific videos projected on four sides of the cubes. More information on JumbleTron here…

PolyTron” was the open call program for “Cubed Luminous.” “PolyTron” was curated by myself in collaboration with Felicia E. Gail at the PMA. “PolyTron” ran November 10th for the 2nd day of the Foo Foo Festival’s Cubed Luminous Festival and mainly represented artists from the region.

EduTron” was a curatorial collaboration with the UWF Art and Design Faculty Thomas Asmuth, Carrie Fonder, and Valerie George. “EduTron” featured the work of UWF students from several digital media classes. “EduTron” ran November 11th, the 3rd day of the Foo Foo Festival’s Cubed Luminous Festival.

Additionally, UWF senior graphic design students created motion graphics to introduce the artists and segments on the 18’x12’x12′ LCD prism ‘megacube.’ (see the megacube with text all the way to the right in the image below of four projection cubes and the LCD megacube.) *Images below are video stills from ACRETV.org, video will not play.
